Another in our continuing series of interviews with recruiters. Here, we talk to executive headhunter and recruiter Luke Rodwell of Talent Focus. We chat about whether to approach recruiters on spec, and how Luke works in particular. With over 500 applicants for every role, Luke stresses the importance of really making the effort to stand out. Luke Rodwell

Luke RodwellLuke Rodwell is a Director with Talent Focus Executive Search, splitting his time between London & Scotland and has a BSc in Command, Control, Communications and Information Systems from The Royal Military College of Science. 

Before his move into the recruitment industry he was a Major in the British Army, where he served with 3 Commando Brigade and 5 Airborne Brigade before finishing his military career as an Instructor at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Prior to establishing Talent Focus Executive Search, in 2009, Luke worked for a multi-national recruitment business in Edinburgh and London for three years. He also spent as well six years as a Director within a Scottish based Executive Search company.  Since moving into recruitment in 2001, Luke has recruited management and executive personnel for a wide range of private and public sector clients across the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA.
